Industrial Biomass Fuel

A practical case for moving to biomass briquettes

For boilers, furnaces and process-heat users, the decision comes down to delivered heat cost, equipment fit and dependable supply. We help companies test all three before they switch.

The Business Case

Why companies evaluate briquettes

Lower delivered heat cost

Compare fuels on usable heat after freight, moisture, ash and boiler efficiency. A lower price per tonne can still be the more expensive fuel.

A more predictable fuel specification

Densified briquettes are easier to transport, store and feed than loose agricultural residue when diameter, moisture and density are controlled.

A practical decarbonisation step

Briquettes turn agricultural and wood residues into industrial heat and can reduce dependence on fossil fuels without waiting for a full process redesign.

Before You Buy

Four checks that determine whether the switch works

A quoted fuel price is useful only when the specification, plant fit and supply conditions are clear.

01

Gross calorific value

Ask for a recent test report and price the fuel per unit of usable heat.

02

Moisture and ash

Set acceptance limits. Both reduce useful energy and can affect handling and disposal.

03

Boiler compatibility

Confirm grate, feeding system, furnace volume, draft and emission-control requirements.

04

Supply reliability

Check monthly capacity, raw-material seasonality, backup plants and delivery lead time.

A Low-Risk Transition

Move from quotation to trial to repeat supply

  1. Share your current fuel, consumption, boiler rating and operating schedule.
  2. Shortlist briquettes by feedstock, diameter, GCV, moisture and ash.
  3. Compare delivered cost per usable heat unit, including transport and handling.
  4. Run a controlled trial and record steam output, fuel use, ash and operator feedback.
  5. Scale only after the trial economics and supply plan are repeatable.
